Applying for co-op

If you wish to pursue the co-op option, you may apply for admission as early as your third semester (fall term of your second year) of the academic program. If you’re interested in applying, we invite you to attend a co-operative education information session in the first few weeks of the third semester. Details of the co-operative education option will be outlined and application procedures provided.

To be accepted into the co-op option, you must have all of the following:

  • A grade point average of 2.7 or better.
  • A clear academic status.
  • No previous record of academic misconduct.

Once admitted into the co-op option, you are encouraged to attend information sessions to develop your skills in:

  • resumé writing
  • cover-letter writing
  • interview skills
Please refer to the co-op admission guidelines in the university's current Academic Calendar or contact Tracy James-Hockin, Experiential Learning Co-ordinator, for additional information on admission.
