Title: Data analytics for sustainability

Abstract: As concerns over climate change and resource shortages arise, it is critical to seek new ways to ensure a sustainable future, in which resources such as water and energy are used responsibly and greenhouse gas emissions are reduced. In this talk, Dr. Golab presented some recent work on big data analytics for sustainability, including smart meter data mining, solar panel monitoring and opinion mining, to reduce barriers to the adoption of green technologies such as electric vehicles.
